Pupils of todays schools in many time are not interested for lessons offered by their teacher. Some of them in most cases has no notepad or even pencil. They attend to class but when they went to home after few days have no idea what was theme of class and due that have no clue what to study.
Beside this situation, sometime a teacher is missing because sickness or similar reason and pupils have no proper replacement. Sometime kids have no good relationship with teacher because many reason like:
- new pupil in the class
- new teacher
Pupils then are shame to ask for some better description of lessons, terms or experiments. Between teacher and pupils is appearing a some kind of barrier. How to bid it?
One of good and cheap solution is to make web site for particular educational plan: computer science, mathematic, biology, history... where a teacher would put in proper format files and let to know web address to his pupils. Each files would be one lesson. According to my experience the best file format is PDF. Why? PDF file format is easy for producing and PDF reader are free. Appearance of PDF file is same and independent of operating system or host application. Maybe the best thing is that PDF has abilities to zoom document and make contents of lessons visible to pupils that have difficulties to read text in small letters.
PDF documents could be incorporated of text, pictures, tables, graphics and even 3D shapes that could be rotated in real time! Classic books are not sometime graphical designed and are not attractive to all pupils - smart teacher could design on line lessons and make them more attractive than paper issue.
On this way teacher could have indirect contact with kids and pupils in "safety and comfortable" of their homes and family are loosing shame and better accept lessons. teacher sometime has no enough time to explain all facts: on line he could add more info, links and description. By the way, he could offer some kind of on line test before finally exercises and by this way to prepare pupils for executive (final) test. I do it and I have better results. Try you too, it's fun.
